Days 2-3: The cruise begins….
The remainder of the travel to the Scenic Eclipse does not rate a mention because it was so uneventful! In Buenos Aires our only outing was to return to the fantastic meat restaurant we had visited in 2016, El Mirasol, and indulge in 1000 gms of baby beef ( enough to feed a family!!!)
The Scenic boat (along with many other boats) was moored at Ushuaia which is on the island of Tierra del Fuego and the southern most town in Argentina. It’s very pretty …..set against the mountains. James and I wandered through the town which has a very large number of outdoor adventure stores (because it’s the place where many hiking adventures start).
We were tendered out to the boat (normally Scenic moors at the dock but it had obviously lost its spot to another boat ). Boat is magnificent, very modern, rooms very spacious, food absolutely fantastic. We ate at the Japanese restaurant on the first night ( there are 5 restaurants to choose from) and the chef made James a special tuna poke.

Just looked up the boat and it looks FABULOUS!
