Ok, you ask, why is there a picture of the colour pink? It’s a hangover (no pun intended) from last night’s game of Hues and Cues….Nell was trying REALLY hard to give us a colour clue and in her mind, Pink (the singer) was a legitimate cue until we all put her back in her box…..
After packing up, putting out the garbage and saying goodbye to the house, we headed to Cessnock for coffee…..I felt very sorry for the people in the coffee shop because we were very loud, and as usual, laughing a lot. Then came a big revelation…..Sara’s ex husband was none other than Macca, hated by everyone at the table…all of whom changed stations on Sunday morning, unlike the millions of listeners in country areas who love him.
Just as well I am no longer married to him as I would have been very offended. Also,it wasn’t a big revelation at all… the Merck girls all knew this from previous conversations ..some remembered, for the others, I put it down to dementia!!
Final eating destination was Saddles at Mt White, owned by John singleton….he and his large Rhodesian ridgeback and his rolls Royce happened to be dining there too.
Lovely venue and good food. Most of us had either brisket pie or squid linguine with clams.
Time to say farewell after another fun filled, warm and thoroughly enjoyable Merck girls getaway.
By the way, post getaway, there have been lots of emails as to protein content and where to get it. Nell takes the cake (or in this case, the yoghurt) for large quantities of protein in a single tub
