On holidays with aunty sara

Life at 17 Shaw Avenue

Well the first day was pretty good. Lots of people appeared at around 2 pm ( I think I heard Aunty Sara say they were her old schoolmates…and indeed, they looked old.

I resisted the urge to jump up too much as I was afraid that I might bowl them over. However, I did try placing my sap soaked ball near each of them….but none of them responded to the invite. The best part was that some of them accidentally dropped food on the ground…. I got to taste a date…it was yummy!

Anyway once they had left, Aunty Sara took me for a walk to the oval and I got to chase the ball repeatedly. And when we got home, after a yummy dinner, I relaxed….

You can see I have a choice of two very comfortable places…one with a white blanket, and one with a red blanket. I prefer the red blanket because Aunty Sara can fit next to me and I get lots of pats.

We slept in till 8.30 am because it was horrible weather outside. Pouring rain. But we got out during a brief reprieve from the rain and I ran around a very waterlogged oval.

Then Aunty Sara disappeared for a little while and I used the opportunity to do lots of poos in the back yard. My favourite pooing spot is under the washing line.

In the afternoon, I was forced to watch Parliament Question Time…

Hmmmm…I hope we don’t do that every day.

It’s now Tuesday and Aunty Sara woke me up very early to take me for a walk to the oval. There was a very cute little doggie who kept coming up to me and jumping up. I liked it in the beginning but then I got frustrated as it took time away from me chasing the ball. Anyway the doggie’s owner eventually put the puppy on a lead and all was well.

Then Aunty Sara disappeared but she left me two treats and a clean tennis ball so I was pretty happy. Spent time chasing the ball around the garden, sleeping in the sun, chasing the odd bird….you know…normal dog stuff.

Very excited when Aunty Sara arrived home…..time to relax for a while and get some pats. I think she might be watching Question Time again. I’ve buried my face into the red blanket so I don’t have to watch it.
