Day 13: Still within Scoresbysund
This is what I saw when I opened my blockout blind this morning. The stunning Eielson Glacier which is at the head of the Rype fjord.

We took an early morning zodiac cruise around this fjord. The landscape on one side has amazing colours. Very tall mountains, rising straight from the water, with a coloured pattern which almost resembles a plait.

On the other side, it is much more undulating and we saw many muskox grazing on the greenery.(Remember, these beasts are herbivores).

The glacier itself is amazing

As we were nearing the glacier, another zodiac (purposely) bumped into us to offer us hot chocolate with frangelico or Baileys!

What service! And from the Captain, no less
There was a lone seal, sunning himself on an iceberg

Have discovered the secret to the coffee designs….its a machine with many different image choices!

And here’s what’s outside my window at 11 pm

Hard to top that Sar. The mountain actually looks like it is sandstone. Wonderful.
Impressive 👍

Omg I can only imagine all the other amazing things you’ve missed while you slept, and the block out blind was down. Such a shame that you need sleep!
So did you choose the baileys or the frangelico?
