June 20-21: Bye bye Poland, hello France
Flew from Krakow to Paris on Easyjet (note to self: Easyjet is miles better than RyanAir), and then taxi to the Port de Javel Bas to join AmaDante river cruise.
The cruise ship is located within site of the Eiffel Tower. It’s a relatively old ship (2008) but has all the facilities you need (except perhaps a pool…very hot in Paris…but it does have small outdoor spa. My room is compact but heaps of cupboard space.

There are only 104 passengers on board. 77 of them are from one touring group, all of them from the US. I am on a mission to find the 27 passengers who aren’t part of the group. So far, I have found 8! The ship organised a meeting for solo travellers, and I have made some new friends.
Today, we took a cruise down the Seine to see all the important sites of Paris.
I’m sure you will recognise them….

The last photo shows Paris’ oldest bridge, Pont Neuf, temporarily transformed into what looks like a prehistoric cliff rising out of the river. It makes the bridge looks like it has been swallowed by a jagged mountain. Created by JR, often described as the French “Banksy”
Dinner tonight at the Chefs table. Am sitting with non-group people from Salt Lake City, Florida and Vancouver

And for the foodies….

Also, we were through a couple of locks which are always fascinating.
