Can you imagine how excited I was when Mummy told me I was going to Suss’s place a little earlier than planned ? It meant I got to spend an additional night indoors (and not outside on the uncomfortable porch at home).
There had been a lot of rain and, as a result, lots of opportunity for me to dig up the grass to eat the yummy soil beneath. Well Suss discovered one of my indiscretions and promptly closed off that opportunity .

Oh well, she hasn’t worked out my other yummy spot in the garden bed at the back of the garden!
Anyway after a lovely sleep on the dog bed in the bedroom (and I scored an extra hour of sleep for some reason), Suss harnessed me up and I knew it was time for a drive followed by a walk. Yeh!
We arrived at this lovely park( where I could hear waves crashing), and then – to my surprise – my good friend Sally appeared ( remember her? She was the one who patted me lots while in Centennial Park). She had a big tall man with her (I think he’s even taller than Dad). Anyway he turned out to be nice too, so all good!
We ventured off and, as we were walking up this very steep set of stairs, another shorter man joined us! He seemed out of breath. I think it was because he had tried to run to catch up with us. But like Sally and the tall man, he’s old and perhaps running is past his use-by date. ( Admittedly, I am older than all of them)
Anyway I finally got to rest about 30 minutes into the walk

Sally valiantly tried to stop me from eating all the woodchip. But it tasted so nice!

Anyway we finished the walk and I decided we needed another group photo to mark the occasion.

You’ll note that everyone is smiling except the shorter man who didn’t want to participate in the photo. Now why would anyone NOT want a photo with me in it?
I was exhausted after that walk and spent the next few hours resting.
Suss then dumped me in the garden, on my own, for many hours in the afternoon. It was almost dark by the time she arrived home. Despite my anger, I displayed enough excitement, yelps and woofs, to make her feel wanted.
Today, we went for a couple of walks, had a range of visitors who I had to stay away from ( the cleaners) and here’s a range of positions which I assume at Suss’s place when she doesn’t have time to pat me.

The 48 hours is almost over and I’m already sad.

You are so astute Nobby, to understand when people don’t want to smile for a photo.
And don’t worry, you have not very long to wait until you go back to Suss’ again!
Soooo divine! Love it! xxx
