Nobby goes on holidays

The first few days

My mum and dad dumped me at Suss’s place on Thursday night. They were so thrilled to get rid of me that they forgot to bring my harness (but dad thought better of it, considered Suss’s driving and dropped the harness around). Anyway you can imagine how devastated and restless I felt….i sat at the front door for at least 1 second before reluctantly sitting with Suss to watch tv.

You can see how stressed I am.

Anyway, Suss forces me sleep inside. You can imagine how hard that it is for me when mum and dad allow me to sleep outside in the heat and the rain, and on the hard deck.

You know what it’s like when you first go on holidays….it takes a while to adjust to the bed. After about 10 seconds I managed to fall asleep and was woken by the alarm 8 hours later. So considering everything, my first night wasn’t too bad.

I convinced Suss that we needed to buy challahs for Friday night dinner (at this stage she hadn’t told me that no one was turning up), so off we trotted to Grandma Moses ( Molly, the cinnamon rolls there are scrumptious…you should convince your mum to buy you one). And I found a friend while Suss went inside.

I really wanted to go on the light rail because Thomas has told me all about it. Despite looking longingly at the station, Suss didn’t take the hint.

OMG, it’s been a while since I last visited Kensington. The post office has gone and you should see all the development …..certainly not doggie heaven like Kensington oval.

I spent a lot of the day in my bed observing Suss doing stuff. Thank goodness mum and dad brought my bed because the choice at Suss’s place is quite limited. She’s had a clean out of doggie beds since Monty and Jackson crossed the rainbow bridge, so there’s no longer a choice of 19.

The upside to the visit is that Suss likes to bribe me with treats. So today I got some yummy chicken in my yucky dry food for both breakfast and dinner.

Time for me to go to sleep now.

OMG Suss, you are too funny! I told Molly about the cinnamon roll, and she looked into my eyes, then licked my face. Thank you for making me smile, I really needed this.🙏🩵
