June 17: Around Grand Hotel Kempinski
For those who asked, there are 20 in our group and 17 of them are Americans. So we have to mind our Ps and Qs. Have talked to one rapid anti Trumper so far!
Today I gave my knees a well deserved rest and didn’t join today’s walk, which while short, it involved another steep descent.
Stayed around the hotel, which wasn’t too difficult.
Took a walk around the lake just outside the hotel, and met some friends along the way.

Sensational views as the lake sits just below the mountains, and you can see the ski jump protruding into the sky.

Then had a swim, used the spa and the 5 different varieties of steam/sauna rooms. Here’s view from lounge seat at the pool. Hard to take!

Forgot to tell you about last nights dinner, which was in the hotel’s grand restaurant. You aren’t allowed in if you have open toed shoes (but it’s fine to wear hiking boots….go figure!)
